Changing

A world where we can all thrive.

We are now at a critical point. We have the opportunity to form a unified and inclusive global society. A society that works symbiotically with technology and the planet as a whole. The journey to this future will be uncertain. It will take a leap of faith and courage to get there. To help people navigate this uncertainty, take a leap and move forward with courage, we need a positive vision of the future.

I believe ‘people and planet thriving together’ is that vision. In order to help us get there and build on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) I put forward eight wellbeing goals:

  1. Mentally: We are creative and imaginative
  2. Emotionally: We are composed, feel at ease with ourselves and each other
  3. Physically: We are vital
  4. Spiritually: We are fulfilled
  5. Socially: We are engaged
  6. Culturally: We are living in harmony
  7. Environmentally: We are living in flourishing environments
  8. Economically: We are prosperous

I hope you can see that these goals aren’t contradictory to the UN SDGs. In fact, they are complementary. But these goals take us past surviving towards thriving. These goals can work at an individual, organisational, community and even national level.

So how do we get there? The focus of all my coaching, consulting and speaking is working towards this vision but in order to facilitate greater change I understand the need to work at many different levels.

Of course change starts with me and I am doing many things across all eight domains to improve my wellbeing and the wellbeing of other people and the planet.

But just me changing isn’t going to change the world. We need change in you too, in other people, in education, our communities, in businesses and other organisations, in our governance and in our economies.

You can find out more about what I’m doing in each of these areas and ways you might like to get involved in the respective pages linked to above.
